The Institution is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the ILP in a new post of Technical Director. The successful candidate will work alongside the CEO and Executive Board towards our vision to unite the skills of engineering, design and technology to deliver quality lighting for the built environment and achieve public benefit.
Alongside becoming the external facing, technical excellence champion for the ILP, the Technical Director will lead on the research, development and delivery of all ILP technical documentation, working alongside our Vice-Presidents and the Technical Committee. In addition, they will take responsibility for ILP training activity including the Exterior Lighting Diploma and the National CPD Curriculum. A job description can be downloaded here.
Given the seniority of the role, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at least 10 years’ experience as a lighting professional. They must also hold or have passed the initial assessment stage and be working towards, MILP IEng accreditation as a minimum.
