The Institution’s review of its regional structure and governance continues to gather pace.
After over 9 months of intense consultation and discussion the Executive Board, Regional Councillors and Regional Officers have made significant progress in identifying new “Lighting Delivery Centres” which will replace the old regional boundaries.
A great deal of work has gone into locating these centres which combined offer 97% of the ILP membership access to local meetings within a 50-mile radius.
The next stage is to address governance and to talk through a new local system which will ensure that the Institution delivers quality CPD into the future.
This is not an overnight fix and the new system is likely to take some time to bed in from its intended inception of 1 January 2019.
It is essential that we get this right and therefore the ILP Council is keen to know your views and how you see the new system operating.
Regional Councillors have been asked to canvas their regional members by 31 October so do please contact your Councillor for full details and let us know what you think.
