The Bat Conservation Trust is running a Bats and Artificial Lighting Symposium on 21st May 2019 in London at their partner Arup’s offices. The symposium will feature sharing of knowledge and best practice via a series of presentations. Contributors will be from across professions involved in lighting and bats. They are therefore encouraging presentations from a range of perspectives to include:
- Latest academic research
- Latest technological advances (lighting or bat surveying/monitoring)
- Case studies (especially using the updated BCT / ILP ‘Bats and Lighting’ guidance note)
- Next steps – planned research projects or collaborations
If you would like to contribute a presentation to one of these topics please submit a 250 word abstract (with a title) in Word or PDF format, including your name and your primary affiliation, to Jo Ferguson, Built Environment Officer (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 21st February 2019.
