Volunteer: Emma Beadle

Emma Beadle is currently a lighting designer in the architectural lighting team at WSP based in London. Originally from Edinburgh, Emma graduated with a First-Class Honours in Interior and Spatial Design in 2016 from Edinburgh Napier University. Inspired by the lighting design aspects of this course she went on to complete a masters in Lighting Design, also at Edinburgh Napier University, graduating in 2017 with a distinction. In her spare time, Emma is a qualified tennis coach and her experiences with working with children led to the idea for her master’s major project, which combines co-design with children with re-designing Edinburgh's urban third spaces and introduces lighting design to children.

Emma joined the ILP Illuminated River Group to gain valuable hands on experience, to learn about lighting controls and to increase her team work skills. She is looking forward to being involved in such a high-profile project and watching Leo Villareal work his magic on London’s most iconic bridges.
